About Us

Oxfordshire Royal Enfield came to be all because one day I needed a mirror for a bike I was working on. I went to Crowmarsh Classics, which was owned and run by Mike Coombs. Mike had decided to retire, and asked if I would be interested in taking on the dealership from him. I have known Mike for a number of years and he knew that I have always been a keen biker, having owned Enfield’s and the foreign stuff. 
 
Before I could take a breath, Mike was on the phone to Watsonian Squires, had a brief conversation with Ben Matthews, who in turn phoned me arranged to come up for a visit to see if the site was suitable for the dealership, and the rest as the saying goes is history. 
 
Oxfordshire Royal Enfield is situated within Sutton Courtenay Car Sales, a used car business my father, Norman, set up some 30+ years ago.  A small show room, which could not be used for displaying cars was going to waste, and being used as a storage space and dumping area, with a good clear out and a lick of paint it has made a great place to show Royal Enfield, as well as some of the parts and accessories which we sell.
